Chris Caffery is continuing the songwriting process for his new solo album, which he plans to record between May and July for an October release. Working songtitles set to appear on the CD include "House Of Insanity", "Shame", "The Fleas", "Schizophrenia" (instrumental),"Back's To The Wall", "No Matter What", "Seasons Change", "I'm Sorry", "Solitaire", "Winter In Hamburg".

Commented Caffery: "Focusing on fixing up these 10 songs into almost final arrangements. Then I will leave them alone and just have them on a CD in my vehicle. Will work up the next batch starting Monday. Think I have my fair share of up and heavy stuff... Have a couple tempo slots to fill... want another ballad, but you never know what will come up. Really excited. Stuff is coming out cool...really easy to grab onto."

According to Chris, he will tour "a lot in 2009" in support of the new CD. Some shows will take place this year, but there will be "no serious touring."

Chris Caffery's latest solo album, "Pins and Needles", was released in Europe in March 2007 via Metal Heaven Records. The CD arrived in North America on June 5 via Locomotive.

The follow-up to 2004's "Faces" and 2005's collection of bonus tracks and new compositions, "W.A.R.P.E.D.", "Pins and Needles" was originally scheduled to be released through Greece's Black Lotus Records, but after the company closed its doors in 2006, Caffery was forced to seek a new label home.
